Weekend Homeworks~!

Ohey. It's the homeworks again!

STR
- Capsule Proposal on August 10.

This is a group version of your project briefs. Please make sure you know who your groupmates are, and that you discuss it within your group. AND! If you haven't inquired about the results of your individual project briefs yet, please do so.

BIO
- Correct your mistakes in the previous homework (Digestive System) and resubmit on August 3 for a chance of getting more points. :D

Fil
- Pick three (3) DIFFERENT short stories. One for an Oral Report, another for a Written Report, and another para sa Masining na Pagkukwento.
- I shall make a separate post about this project some time later. Malabo kasi yung instructions ni Sir.

Physics
- Giancolli, 5th ed. Chapter problems 31, 23, 36 plus the examples na hindi natin natuloy. Sorry naman sa gulo. Ang labo kasi ng instructions. At hindi ako nakikinig kay Sir.

31. A 6500-kg helicopter accelerates upwards at 0.60 m/s2 while lifting a 1200-kg car. (a) What is the lift force exerted by the air on the rotors? (b) What is the tenstion in the cable (ignore its mass) that connects the car to the helicopter?

23. A box weighing 70N rests on a table. A rope tied to the box runs vertically upward over a pulley and a weight is hung from the other end. Determine the force that the table exerts on the box if the weight hanging on the other side of the pully weighs (a) 30N (b) 60N (c) 90N

36. The two masses (M1 = 2.2kg, M2 = 3.2kg) are each initially 1.80m above the ground, and the massless frictionless pulley is 4.8m above the ground. What maximum height does the lighter object reach after the system is released? (Hint: First determine the acceleration of the lighter mass ad then its velocity at the moment the heavier one hits the ground. This is its launch speed.)

Examples (na kelangan sagutan):
17. The cable supporting a 2100-kg elevator has a maximum strength of 21,750 N. What maximum upward acceleration can it give the elevator without breaking? answers: a = 0.557 m/s2

30. One 3.0-kg paint bucket is hanging by a massless cord from another 3.0-kg paint bucket, also hanging by a massless cord, as shown in the figure. (a) If the buckets are at rest, what is the tension in each cord? (b) If the two buckets are pulled upward with an acceleration of 1.60 m/s2 by the upper cord, calculate the tension in each cord. answers:(a) 29 N, 59 N, (b) 34 N, 68 N

Shut up and put your money where your mouth is. That's what you get for waking up in Vegas. ♪♫CarlosChanyungco♫♪
